Lee uses a unique method of deep muscle therapy developed over nearly three decades
of private practice in the heart of Manhattan. Her technique draws on Swedish massage, Shiatsu, trigger-point therapy, polarity,
reflexology, energy balancing, spiritual healing and magnet therapy. Each patient's needs are assessed and a specific treatment
is applied for an hour, though longer sessions are sometimes suggested.
Her clients include atheletes, dancers,
celebrities, children, people with medical problems and much of New York's over-challenged work force. From children to the
elderly, Lee's muscular therapy technique is beneficial to all age groups. Drawing on knowledge of homeopathy, herbology
and nutrition, Lee teaches clients how to reduce and redirect everyday stresses. Beyond moving muscles, Lee addresses the
causes of pain and injuries, helping clients find ways to make life better.
During the treatment, Lee uses
heat (a hydroculator pack found in most physical therapy offices) to loosen and relax stiff areas. If ligaments and tendons
are inflamed or a patient presents with intense bruises or hematomas, Lee applies a healing oil of blended rosemary, sandalwood
and carnation essences to help repair damaged soft tissue. Muscle spasms are treated with small magnets and the client is
instructed to wear them for up to seven days or until the spasm releases. For specific acute or chronic problems, Lee will suggest exercises to support recovery. These exercises are
the unique creation of Mr. Gu (www.guexercise.com). They combine stimulation of the nervous system and increased blood circulation
to massage internal organs. Lee is collaborating with Mr. Gu to write a book introducing his work and explaining details of
the technique. The book is entitled STAY YOUNG**GET YOUNGER. A massage therapy treatment with Lee Noonan
is a truly memorable healing experience.
